No matter how strategic you get with your time, or how productive you are, there is something that matters more.
Congruence.
Strategy is king when it comes to managing your attention and energy in the right places.
Skill and experience are king when it comes to being effective in your work.
Congruence is king when it comes to actually manifesting the life you want. (Oh yeah, bringing on the M-word, baby).
A reflection I frequently get is that I am a strategic, inspiring, and an all-business kind of woman.
And I am.
I also listen to Abraham Hicks before bed.
I practice self-hypnosis and meditation.
And manifestation is the other leg I stand on when it comes to creating the life and career I want.
But manifestation won’t work if all you’re doing is listening to Abraham Hicks, meditating and self-hypnosis.
What is even more critical for bringing in the material things you desire (promotion, raise, new home, the right team members…) is living your values in the proper order.
Do you …
- Value health but consistently skip workouts because work keeps you late?
- Value your family but miss their games and events because everything at work is on fire?
- Value relationships, but you’ve turned down the last three invitations from friends and have at least ten unread text messages that you “keep forgetting” that you’re too tired to reply to.
If this is you, you are living out of alignment with your values.
You can’t live out of alignment with your values and expect to create a life that is in alignment with your values.
This seems so obvious, but most of us miss it. And it seems so simple that most of us are likely to skip it.
Most of us operate like this: “I can sacrifice my values in the short term in order to create the material results that will allow me to live a life that’s in alignment with my values long term.”
But this is the opposite of how manifestation works.
Manifestation says, “Live your life in alignment with your values and I’ll send you the material results while you enjoy your life!”
But only the courageous dare to tear up their incongruent to-do list and live by their values.
- Find a workout class that’s aligned with your work schedule or leave work to make the workout class and work more later.
- Put the project down and go to your kid’s game (and actually pay attention when you’re there.
- Say yes to your friend’s invitations because you know social connection refuels and restores you.
There is no later.
You can only make a choice in alignment with your values now.
This is one of the secrets to Productivity that we teach in Get Sh*t Done, one of our most beloved trainings of the year. It’s happening January 19th, and you can sign up with the link above. (You can also take us to your organization and we’ll do magic in-house.)
And every week between now and then, catch us live on IG, Mondays at 12 pm CT, where we bust one productivity myth at a time! Email us with “I’m in” to get reminders!
See you there!
