You want to talk about work-life balance?
Forget about it.
Not here.
Because I will not lie to you.
If you’re super driven, ambitious, and hungry for success, work will most likely take the front seat. That’s the reality of the game.
However, that doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice everything else on the altar of your career.
You don’t.
It’s a choice.
Let’s cut to the chase with a few examples that have proven effective:
- No emails at the dinner table. Period. Your family deserves your full attention during those precious moments.
- And after 7:30 pm? That’s sacred time for your loved ones. No negotiations.
- If work comes knocking later in the evening, handle it on your terms. Just don’t let it consume you.
- Allocate 10 minutes every night to prep for the day ahead. Review your calendar, stay present, and prepare emotionally.
- Wake up 10 minutes earlier and resist the urge to check your phone. Instead, use this time for prayer, meditation, or visualizing how you want your day to unfold.
Oh, and here’s another non-negotiable you might have overlooked: taking care of your body daily. Because you can’t conquer the world if you’re running on empty 😉
Stop chasing the illusion of a balanced equation. It’s not good for you.
Instead, take control of your priorities.
Even if you identify and stick to just… ONE non-negotiable or ONE boundary, you’re already on a winning streak. So, don’t underestimate the impact of even a single boundary. It’s a game-changer on your journey to true harmony – on your terms, in your own way.
With love,
Mari Carmen
